Spicy nuts

Ingredients

Mix of raw nuts - about 250g.

I used pecans, almonds and cashews.

a teaspoon each of garlic powder, paprika and sea salt.

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to about 170-180 degrees

  2. prepare a large flat oven tray with a sheet of baking paper.

  3. Put 2 tablespoons olive oil in large bowl, and mix in the garlic powder, paprika and sea salt. Add the nuts and mix well to coat the nuts with spice mix.

  4. Spread onto the baking sheet in a single layer.

  5. Bake for 10-12 mins until nuts are darkening in colour and getting a little crispy. (keep an eye on them as nuts burn easily).

  6. Cool and keep in airtight tin.

NB Cashews are high in carbs compared with other nuts so use sparingly.
